Being the nation’s gateway, Suvarnabhumi Airport will be the visitors’ first impression of Thai atmosphere. Therefore, the exterior and interior designs will reflect the beauty of Thai art and culture. Art wors, worth a combined Bt100 million, have been featured inside the terminal.

There are various pieces of larger-than-life paintings and sculptures. Feature of the airport include the 12 statues of the giant characters in oriental mythology ‘Ramayana’, a Bt48-million bronze sculpture depicting characters from mythology based on the story of the Churning of the Milk Ocean, several paintings of renowned Thai painters and reproductions of rare masterpiece print works.
Paintings are displayed on sixty-six walls inside the airport’s terminal. Each painting panel is 8.20-meters wide are 2.80-meters high. Ninety-four paintings are displayed inside the concourses.
Moreover, the Thai pavilions and Sala Thai are the showcases of unique Thai architectural design.
