| Suvarnabhumi Airport sets up a center for monitoring the water level around the airport areas for 24 hours. |

Suvarnabhumi Airport checked intensively the water level around the airport areas and found the water level in various canals wasslightlyincreasing, but it did not affect the passengers’ trip.
Mr. Somchai Sawasdeepon, Vice President of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), and acting director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, said that the setup of the center for monitoring the flooding water flowing from the north side of the airport since the pas of October, currently the water level is flowing more and more into canals and various areas closed to the Suvarnabhumi Airport, a coordination with the Royal Irrigation Department and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration regarding the water level in various canals (Klong) related to Suvarnabhumi Airport, such as Klong Saensaep, has been made and found that the water level was slightly increasing. The water level in Klong Lampratew and Klong Pravetburirom is still normal.
However, Mr. Somchai sad that even though the water volume increasingly flew into the areas closed to the airport area, but by monitoring the said water volume was still not much and Suvarnabhumi Airport is still confident in its flood prevention system supported by surrounding dyke that it is certainly efficient and Suvarnabhumi Airport had also provided its security staff cooperating with the police officers from Suvarnabhumi Airport Police Station to inspect around the dyke for 24 hours.
Mr. Somchai added that in order to provide the drainage to the south of the airport into the seaside canals soon as possible, Suvarnabhumi had sent its staff to explore 13 various canals on the south of the airport, it was found that the concerned agencies have already dredged the canals for accommodating the water. There are only a few obstacles, such as water hyacinth, garbage, which Suvarnabhumi Airport will mobilize staff’s forces to perform the dredging accordingly.
Mr. Somchai concluded that besides Suvarnabhumi had sent its staff to explore the entrance and exit routes around the airport and found that the surrounding roads, such as Bangna-Trad Road, Onnuch - Larkrabang Road, Romklao Road, Chalongkrung Road and Motor Way, are still not flooded.
