| Suvarnabhumi Airport organizes 4th Year “Suvarnabhumi Fair” |

Suvarnabhumi Airport greatly organizes the 4th Year “Suvarnabhumi Fair”during July 25 – 27, 2012 and 140 shops sell first-class OTOP products from the communities surrounding the airport to its staff.
Mr. Somchai Sawasdeepon, Director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) said that Suvarnabhumi Airport greatly organizes “Suvarnabhumi Fair” for the year 2555with more than140 shops selling OTOP and various products made by communities surrounding the airport. The fair will take place at Airport Office Building (AOB)during July 25 – 27, 2012 from 07.00 – 17.00 hours.
Mr. Somchai Sawasdeepon added that this event is being organized the fourth year in the form of home ranch market fair and Suvarnabhumi Airport has been granted the cooperation from Samutprakarn province and Lardkrabang district in selecting quality OTOP products from the communities such as Bangbor gourami, hydroponics vegetablesfrom Rajathewa community, handmade fabric bags Klongjeg Pattana housewife group, weaving shoes from Romklao shoes making group as well as clean and good taste food. Moreover, the each day event a “Golden Minute” program is hosted to give the visitors a chance in buying the product at the special discount price. It is expected that this event will generate an income to the communities more than 2 million Baht.
Additionally said Mr. Somchai that “Suvarnabhumi Fair” is a project of Suvarnabhumi Airport being organized to help promote the development of selling the consumer goods and to promote the economic and income generation to the communities. The said event was being organized already for 3 consecutive years and generated income to the communities more than 10 million Baht. The last year has received a very good attention from both the staff working in the Suvarnabhumi Airport and the airport service users by spending more than 2.2 million Baht. So, therefore, Suvarnabhumi Airport is organizing this fair consecutively, in order to help generate an income for the people living in the surrounding areas and to publicize the products of the communities being more well known to enhance the livelihood of the communities surrounding the airport for the sustainable economic growth.
