Suvarnabhumi Airport hosted the third "Same Home" seminar for 120 service officers of the airport to gather ideas for better service performance.
Acting Lt. Anirut Thanomkulbutra, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), said that during August 25th to 26th, 2011 the airport held the "Same Home" seminar, held for the third year this year under the "Airport of Smiles" concept, to train 120 service officers who have direct contact with passengers such as officers at information counters, cleaning staff, officers at security checkpoints, security guards, etc. to effectively provide services and make positive impressions on airport passengers with, for example, smiles, tactful manners, friendliness and neat attires. For this seminar Suvarnabhumi Airport invited M.L. Atcharapan Na Songkla who has large experiences on service and corporate image as the keynote speaker. The seminar also included several ice-breaking and brainstorming activities which helped boosting up ideas about better performance in the future.
The General Manager also said that this seminar project was initiated right after the airport's participation in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) project of Airport Council International (ACI). To be a world-class airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport has been constantly improving its facilities and services. Due to its large and complex network, it is important that every department has to effectively cooperate. This seminar was not only held to create awareness about service mind but also to tighten relationships between the staff which could facilitate better cooperation.
He added that the "Same Home" seminar was held annually since 2009, with the first one as an executive seminar and the second one as a managerial one. This year, to complete the big picture, the seminar was held especially for service staff who directly meet airport passengers.
