Suvarnabhumi Airport arranged the space for supporting all passengers being left over at the airport because of the flight to London was cancelled.

     Suvarnabhumi Airport facilitates the passengers being left over because of the flight to London, England was cancelled. Miss Vilaiwan Nadvilai, Spokeswoman of Suvarnabhumi Airport under the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) disclosed that because of the heavy snowfall in England at the end of last week caused the Heathrow Airport, London, England not in the position to provide the service as usual and some airlines had to cancel the flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport to London since last 19th December 2010 so that a large number of passengers could not travel. For the latest development she was informed that now the Heathrow Airport can resume to providing the usual service and the airlines, who have earlier cancelled the flight, can gradually take some left over passengers to travel to London. However, there are about 70 left over passengers at the Suvarnabhumi Airport waiting for the next flight. Most of these passengers are transit passengers of Thai Airways and Suvarnabhumi Airport together with Thai Airways are taking care of these passengers and provide them the convenience to them as well by providing them with the space on the level 3 of the concourse building B, which is the area with declining chairs, where they can take rest. Free internet service, blankets, towels, drinking water, tea/coffee are also provided as well as staff to provide facility and security for 24 hours.

     Miss Vilaiwan added that by the coordination with the Thai Airways, she was informed that Thai Airways is currently waiting for the allocation of the flight schedules from Heathrow Airport and as soon as the flight schedules are available, Thai Airways will then urge on the arrangement of bringing the left over passengers to go back to England immediately, in order to enable the passenger to celebrate the Christmas and New Year festival. For the passengers, who want to travel to England during this period, can ask for flight information at Thai Airways Call Center 0-2356-1111 or Suvarnabhumi Airport Call Center 0-2132-1888.

     Furthermore, during the last period from 19th to 20th December 2010, there were 11 flights being cancelled, namely 7 flights of Thai Airways. 1 flight of British Airway and 3 flights of EVA Air.
